Segretario Generale Alleanza di Chiese Cristiane Evangeliche in ItaliaLa CONVIVENZA e’ uno stato obbligatorio per la persona umana.
Molte volte l’uomo desidera vivere fuori dal contatto con gli altri ma basta pensare al film CAST AWAY per verificare la drammaticita’ del vivere da soli fuori dal contatto con gli altri.
La nostra vita va’ programmata alla luce di coloro che ci circondano.
Fin dal principio Dio constato’ il bisogno per l’uomo di vivere in compagnia e dopo Adamo creo’ Eva. Per creare la vita , che e’ il piu’ grande miracolo dell’uomo, bisogna essere in due!
Se la Convivenza e’ uno stato sine qua non, il rispetto e’ il segreto che regola la convivenza civile dell’umanita’.
L’olocausto della SHOA e’ l’esempio piu’ negativo dell’uomo che rifiuta i termini della convivenza e che nega la condizione per cui Dio lo ha creato.
Dopo le dichiarazioni recenti di capi di Stato che mettono in dubbio l’olocausto, oggi dobbiamo DENUNCIARE con forza e chiarezza la vergogna per quello che e’ stato fatto al popolo ebreo che diventa simbolo per tutte le discriminazioni che purtoppo esistono anche oggi su molte parti del nostro globo ed anche nella nostra erudita Europa dove la liberta’ Religiosa, madre di tutte le liberta’, e’ sempre messa in discussione e dove chi e’ evangelico invece che cattolico oppure cattolico invece che ortodosso sembra essere figlio di un Dio minore!
Il RISPETTO si snoda su tre livelli:
Rispetto Culturale
La cultura di chi ci sta accanto puo’ e deve essere diversa. La diversita’ e’ ricchezza se basata sul rispetto e lontana da ogni forma di proselitismo.
Il vero proselitismo e’ il rispetto che chi mi sta vicino mi da come risultato della mia testimonianza. L’uomo erudito viene spesso descritto come uomo di cultura poiche’ la cultura e’ conoscenza e non esiste l’uomo che ha conosciuto appieno. Anche l’apostolo Paolo dichiarava che vediamo come attraverso una bottiglia ma quando saremo dal Padre vedremo e conosceremo appieno!
Rispetto Religioso
Il nostro credo religioso delinea la nostra veduta del mondo. Non esiste religione che non si basi sui diritti umani e sulla solidarieta’. Il dialogo su questi punti riflette il cuore di Dio, il resto sono manipolazioni umane abominevoli
Rispetto Individuale
Il rispetto culturale e religioso lo ereditiamo, quello individuale lo creiamo quando decidiamo di essere, come diceva Gesu’, sale della terra e luce del mondo!
Il Rispetto e’ dunque il traguardo della convivenza civile!
Ed allora perche’ la nostra convivenza civile e’ a rischio ed il rispetto sembra spesso essere un concetto astratto?
Alla domanda che un professore fece ai suoi studenti se Dio avesse creato ogni cosa, uno di loro rispose sicuramente di si. Allora il professore ne dedusse che la presenza del male nell’uomo e nel mondo e’ da collegare a Dio, creatore di ogni cosa. Lo studente si ammutoli’e chino’ il capo.
Un altro studente, pero’, chiese al professore se esisteva il freddo. Certamente egli rispose.
Lo studente spiego’ che secondo le leggi della fisica il freddo non e’ altro che la mancanza di calore. Qualsiasi oggetto puo’ essere studiato solo se emana energia cioe’ calore. Il calore rende un oggetto suscettibile allo studio, senza calore l’oggetto non esiste. Il freddo e’ un vocabolo inventato per definire un oggetto senza calore.
Lo studente fece un’ altra domanda al professore. Esiste l’oscurita’? Certamente replico’ il professore.
La sua risposta e’ errata, replico’ lo studente. L’oscurita’ e’ la mancanza di luce. La luce puo’ essere studiata cosi’ come ci ha insegnato Newton col prisma che ci da’ tutti i riflessi della luce. L’oscurita’ non puo’ essere studiata. Anche questo vocabolo e’ stato inventato per definire la mancanza di luce!
Vede professore il male non esiste di per se’. Esso e’ semplicemente l’assenza di Dio nella vita dell’uomo, cosi’ come il freddo e l’oscurita’ sono parole create dall’uomo per definire l’ assenza di Dio. Dio non ha creato il male. Il male e’ il risultato di cio’ che accade quando l’uomo non ha l’amore di Dio presente nel suo cuore.
E’ come il freddo che viene quando non c’e’ il calore o l’oscurita’ che viene quando non c’e’ la luce.A questo punto il professore ammutoli’ e chino’ il capo. Il nome di quello studente era Albert Einstein di razza ebrea.
Senza Dio non vi e’ rispetto e la convivenza civile e’ a rischio!Senza Dio il male della Shoa puo’ sempre ripetersi.
In questa luce vi invito a considerare le parole di Giovanni Battista che dichiarava: Egli deve crescere ed io devo diminuire!

Living together is a must for every man.
Many times man desires to live out of contact from other men. It is enough to think at the movie “Cast away” to perceive the drama of living by ourselves and without any contact with other people.
Our life must be planned in the light of living in contact with other people.
If men must live together the secret that makes this condition possible is respect!
The holocaust is the most negative example of man who rejects the simple rules of living together with other men and therefore denies the condition for which God created him.
After the many declarations of several heads of State regarding the myth of the holocaust a san event that never happened, today we must DENOUNCE loud and clear the shame of what the Jewish people had to go through. Their tragedy has become the symbol of all discriminations that unfortunately are still alive in our world today.
In modern Europe people suffer discrimination on the base of their religious identity. Religious freedom is the mother of all freedoms and in Europe today evangelicals are discriminated by Catholics just as Catholics are discriminated by Greek orthodox and Jewish by Muslims.
RESPECT takes mold in 3 different levels:Cultural Respect
The cultural heritage of the people around us can and must be different. Diversity is a treasure if based on respect and away from any type of human proselytism.
True proselytism is seen when the people around me pay me their respect as a result of what I believe and how I am able to flesh it out.
The knowledgeable man is often described as a man of culture because culture is knowledge and we will never know everything. The man of culture and knowledge is a teachable man. Even the apostle Paul said that he knows in part but one day he will know fully!
Religious Respect
Our religious creed does give us our worldview. All religions do try to base their belief on human rights and solidarity. Keeping a dialogue on these two points brings people closer to God, anything else is pure manipulation.
Individual Respect
The cultural and religious respect is given to us as our own heritage. The individual respect, on the other hand, is created by ourselves when we decide to become, as Jesus said, the salt of the earth and the light of the world!
Individual Respect is, therefore, the target of our living together in this world!
Why, then, the living of men around the world is becoming harder everyday and the concept of respecting one another seems to be an abstract one?
This is a really great answer to a question you may be asked or have asked. Did God create everything that exists? Does evil exist? Did God create evil?
A University professor at a well known institution of higher learning challenged his students with this question. "Did God create everything that exists?" A student bravely replied "Yes He did". "God created everything?" the professor asked. "Yes sir, He certainly did." the student replied.
The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created evil. And since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are, then we can assume God is evil."
The student became quiet and did not answer the professor's hypothetical definition. The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.
Another student raised his hand and said, "May I ask you a question, professor?" "Of course", replied the professor. The student stood up and asked, "Professor does cold exist?" "What kind of a question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?" The other students snickered at the young man's question.
The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat.

Every body, or object, is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body, or matter, have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 F) is the total absence of heat; and all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat.
The student continued, “Professor, does darkness exist?" The professor responded, "Of course it does."
The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton’s
prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present." Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir Does evil exist?"
Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course, as I have already said, we see it everyday. It is in the daily examples of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.
To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light."
The professor sat down.
The young man's name was Albert Einstein.
Without God there is not true respect and our living together is under siege!
Maybe now the words of John the Baptist will become more important to each one of us: One thing I must do, I must decrease and He must increase.
Dear Members of Parliament let’s take a stand and win the evil of this world making God present in our hearts!
